Thumbs up CHEAP WHEEL LOADER FOUND

well with that being said, I came across this thing on evil bay and was wondering if anyone knows about these things? I'm sure they cant be that good especially for the low price of less then $300, but they might make a sweet load for a lowboy considering we have a choice of a piece of bruder equipment or a $3500+ rc machine. Let me know what the story is and I hope this may help some of our members out there get a nice load for there lowboys.

I've seen some on some lowboys before. I've looked at them and wondered the same thing, if they are any good our hold enough potential for a conversion..

Not to much info on the web, regarding the model's specs either.

Might make a nice trailer load, but then again if that's all you want, there are better options.

I have one as a load, not much good as an RC, if you want to move more than air, but could be a good template as it has plenty of detail as a base for an RC machine.

They are not any good as they are,the back axle is the one that pulls. The boom is operated by a motor and gear when the boom gets up so far it dumps the bucket also the pivot point is not much either. I guess it can be converted just like the bruder

If you just want a load, I'd get one of Ertl's 1/16 scale wheel loaders. The big farm version, or, if you can find one, the JD Precision model, which sells for a lot more money.

Paul, for $30, I don't think I'd complain to much. I remember the old New Bright Cat wheel loaders costing $10 to $20 more, back in the late '80s, early '90s. They might be an option too, but they really didn't have the grunt to lift sand or dirt. Worked nice in sawdust though.

wish i would of never sold my new bright dozer or payloader I had them both in the wireless version and they actually worked my oldest ran them both in his sand box and they worked pretty dang good. But this one above has nothing on a new bright 1/2 the power and ability I wish new bright would make them again in wireless..

The New Bright loader, dozer & excavator I had 25 yrs ago, if I tried to move anything more than sawdust, the plastic gears skipped & grind & BROKE! ..and they cost a helava lot more than $10 or $20!

With a bit of time & patience and some good ol' fashion ingenuity you can build a satifactory real metal working loader model... check out RCLogger's build thread in the construction forum and several others like him using basic tools to build their constr equip models!

My New Bright Cat wheel loader also stripped the gears out. One side of the drive, for the wheels would slip really easily, and because they steered like a skidsteer, you used them all the time. It was still a great memory.

Yep! my loader worked the same way.. which was fine on an anolium floor, however the plastic gears exploded in the dirt!

I tried to use the brass gears from my Meccanno set to make improvements...

My new bright excavator is stripped on one track and my dozer is very weak on one track and neither have seen one speck of dirt lol, I saw them sitting there the other day and wondered if it would be worth the effort to convert them...
