Hey John! Good to see you're still around here! I'm not sure exactly but if there was a demand I would make the parts. How's the popcorn supply this time of year???
![]() ![]() I am slowly trying to rid this thing of the "earth touching plastic". I got 50mm actuators for all four positions but I have discovered that 30mm ones would have worked better on the blade so I will need to get those before I finish it up. Lots of other work to do yet though so stay tuned! |

Here's a couple videos of it pushing! I still need to add the cutting edges to the blade so I think it will work pretty well in loose soil considering how wet and heavy the sand was in video 1.

Nice job Reg, the blade looks great. Some day when I get around to doing my D5 I might have to talk to you about tracks.

Haha, It's definitely not a 4 hour project anymore that's for sure. For those that have expressed an interest, I am going to build one for someone and see how it goes for cost + time, then I will come up with a solid price. I have ordered all the parts for it so I will be putting it together(with some changes/updates) soon. I will keep everyone up to date as I make progress.
Here's a bit more video of mine working. So far I am quite impressed with it considering it's only about 6lbs! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfTs...tJ-DusnO8Onw7A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nRB...tJ-DusnO8Onw7A Thanks for looking. |

Yes, I think that would be sweet! I may order one and try the metal track conversion in the near future. It definitely is a more detailed piece and it also provides another size option. The current one I am doing really is only about D6 size and fits nicely on a lowbed but that big one would provide a lot more pushing power!

You hit the nail right on the head John. I won't be trying to do anything with the ripper on the small Dozers. I will be adding a drawbar option and I want to put a winch on my own. The D10 has a lot more space to work with so it might be cool to have the ripper on.
I need help now!lol I work on this stuff 7 days a week and can't keep up. It's not that I am incredibly busy, just that everything takes way longer to build than I think it should because every piece is a "one of". With the prices I charge, most jobs generate $10-$15 dollars per hour after expenses so I don't think I can afford to hire anyone though....Well maybe Cooper's squirrel....lol |
