Rob that grader is really taking shape I like it a lot. Talking about radio the F16 can be made to 2.4GHz and have an extra stick also it dual layered Scale Art told me. It has 15 channels plus 6 in 2 layers the price is 689.70 Euro or $940 US. I guess it will even brush your teeth if you want it to. The only problem with it I can see is if you have a problem with it it has to go to Germany to be fixed. Ed

Joe, i am going to use a chain, sprocket and geared motor. I made the ring and i plan to have the chain tacked welded to the ring. I have a machinest that will make the retainters for the ring to ride on. Thats the current plan. I would like to use the worm gear method like on the real one, but haven't quit figured out to make that work. It would lok more scale than the idea that in my head at the moment.

That's the best way I could figure to do it too. An intertooth gear is very costly for no more than your getting. What size chain are you going to use? I have some stainless 1/8 '' pitch chain that would allow room for the circle shoes to mount.

Ideally yes, but i don't machine......have ask about getting one made, but too costly.

I am going with this:

http://2wheelhobbies.com/product_inf...roducts_id=316

http://2wheelhobbies.com/product_inf...roducts_id=311

I believe this is equievelant to #25 chain

Ed, I think the radio might be my one and only Christmas present...

I plan to have it completely working by mid-summer '11

I have come to terms that hydro is only way to go. I have tested the air theory and it just will function like i want it too. Air can't be adjusted.

Thanks Ed, yeah its really slow, but it's starting to pickup a lil bit. Some of my parts where i need strength, i build the prototype out of wood then have them water jetted in aluminum......just spent 20 bucks on 2 can of Cat yellow, but it worth it. gonna start ordeing hydraulic parts after Christmas.

Rob, have you thought about using the "Switch 8"

This is quit interesting, making it out of wood is different, wish I could work with wood like that. VERY NICE.
