Thank You Jon. I'm thinking this will be the most fun toy I have in the fleet.

You're using 3 battery packs?

Yes, I do in this one. And two in all my trucks. Last all day that way I can charge overnight and be ready for battle bright and early morning on shows.

What kind of gearbox are you using on your winch?

Not sure which one yet. Testing a few to find out a winner. First up is this one.https://www.robotshop.com/en/6vdc-40...ear-motor.html
The second will be this one. https://www.robotshop.com/en/6vdc-16...ear-motor.html And if that does fail I go to the bigger guns. Worm Gear is a must-have for holding the load. https://www.amazon.com/Torque-Turbo-...997683015&th=1 |

The current weight as it sits on the previous picture is 3.23 KG or 7.2 Lb

Do you run them in parallel or do you use one for drive and one for accessories?
I like how low you got them mounted. Looks like it would be a fun and solid racing truck at this stage. |

Thanks, Skeeter. Yes, this is going to be on heavy-duty jobs, around the yard. Been busy with the holiday and that thing they call work. Anyway, the lift test is on the way, so far so good, might have to get a stronger lift motor. I suppose I have a high demand for this unit.

Before you go ordering other motors, might want to take a couple passes off the cable bed of your winch drum. Smaller diameter gives slower line speed, but less moment the torque from the line has against the motor.

![]() ![]() The lift mast is one other story, lots of friction and bending. Cheapest plastic I've seen in a long time. I might have to bite the bullet and make a better one, now when the rest of "Forky" run so good. ![]() |

Friday Night cooking some lead soup. Making counterweights is smelly fun. ACHTUNG ACHTUNG !!!
Got it from here. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Grip-Rit...0HDR/202090801 It's also easy to cut for strips and mount into different spots. |
