This thing is coming along great Steve.. It's a monster..

I have some idea of it's size from the picture with the alcohol bottle next to it but how about a picture of it next to your Green corn binder...

Very nice frame sides, are the milled on both sides or only out side? What is the time (approx) for milling one side?

thanks Dan , both sides . The initial op (1 side ) was 8 hrs on the flip over just shy of 3 hrs to mill between the flanges . I have about 24 hrs with a set of trailer frames and the 2nd mack frame and the walking beams . All out of 1 piece of plate .

Good to see you making progress with your cnc equip Steve... ppl can clearly see by your trials & errors the reason why these complicated models cost what they do to manufacture! Great work!

Thank you , Joe All the hair pulling is finally paying off , I just wish I new more about G code then I do . I'm thinking of taking some courses on it once I get caught up . Cam is nice but I wish I could catch the quirks before the program goes in the mill . Well I should have my axle shaft bar tomorrow then I can get these axles together finally

Wish I could remember where I saw the video for virtual run-for checking error's, I thought it was on the Tormach site???? Not much help!
But I did laugh the first time, when I heard that the BYU student's had to trial run there cnc project's in styrofoam first! Something about speed's and feed's? being way too fast, LOL! and this was back in the eightie's! CAN YOU SAY EXPENSIVE CRASH!

The part's look great, even if they take a while to make!
Later, Neil#2 aka doodlebug
