Whenever you build a piece of equipment I always think wow, there is no way that can be out done. Well guess what your added skill and patience really shows. Thanks for entertaining us with your builds.

Outstanding work!!! Drilling the holes in the step plates is bad enough but then to add all of the dimples is just over the top like all of your builds. PLEASE keep up the up dates!!

No I haven't stopped, I've been trying to make the engine hood but still no success. I'm pretty sure now that I'm unable to do it out of aluminium, too many curved panel there. I must think of another solution

A good way is to have the hood modelled in 3D, and order it at Shapeways.com, plastic 2 mm thick.

Hi guys, finally I got time and inspiration to continue this
![]() Meanwhile I've been doing one bigger construction machine project to a friend and lots of other machining jobs. The problem with this A40 was the engine hood that turn out to be hard to make. I was thinking 3D printing but that's not so simple either, mainly due the 3D modeling part. So I will try to make it in aluminium and brass. First I made the frame that the sheeting will attach. This may still fail but lets try it anyway ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
