Default creating home made custom decals

Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you have ever tried using one of those cricut cutters that the scrap booking people use to make custom decals with vinyl, my wife informed me that it is possible to do but we don't have one of them. Does any one have one?

Ive seen parts made from those printers too!! you just run the "print" twice to cut all the way through the styrene. Dont know how long the printer lasts though but they cost about $100

Speaking of parts, I've seen video of 3D printing and it's amazing

I always thought that it would be pretty cool to have a unit just to make our own parts and now I know there is a unit Check this puppy out:

Now I just need more money

OK, back on subject. I haven't made my own decals. I usually purchase decals from Ebay. It's easier for me to buy and use, than to try to make.

hi guys,
not sure what kind of decals your looking for but my brother has a plotter and sells decals. maybe he can help you all out? no clue if he could fit it into his schedule but I could ask if their is any interest. he has access to allot of great 3M material which are some of the best material out there, wood, carbon fiber and it actually is textured.

My wife has a Crickit, they are limited to the graphics available on their cartridges, there is a cartridge that will allow you to load your own artwork but she doesn't have it, they do cut nice though.

I just crop out the subject from a pic on the internet then print out on white vinyl paper. Then cut out of the paper and place on the model.
