It would be great to have one of those loaders but there's no way I'll have money like that to throw around.

If I had a million dollars! Seriously beautiful track loader. The track dumper is cool, but seems a little...I don't know....clumsy? The tracks are so long, when it does sharp turns, it plows the dirt pretty badly, and pushes everything right into the track.

The cost of the ScaleArt track loader at the Dortmund fair was 11300 eruos I looked at it but it works out to about $15000. For that money you can buy three Carson track loaders, so now I have the first one we will see how long it will take before I need a replacement, hopefully a long time to make me feel good.I bought the demo model at Dortmund complete with the rear ripper. Just made it back from Germany today so will post some pics/video of the ripper working later this week i hope.

Which is what makes them more appealing to some people... the fewer there are, the more some folk want to have them.. Ah yes.. exclusivity runs in all sectors

There´s a two page article about the two machines in the German magazine Rad&Kette 2/2013 (meaning "Wheel&Track"; www.rad-und-kette.de), which appeared on 22nd March (we subscribers got it some days earlier though ). According to the article, it was actually the company making the original tracked dumper who approached ScaleArt to have an operating model made for fairs and for learning purposes. Had it not been for this, I don´t believe ScaleArt would have made the model at all.

That's very interesting, Stefan! I wonder if Scale Art realized that they could update their track loader, with the new cab and hood, while at the same time building the tracked dumper. Makes me wonder which might have come first? Scale Art's plans for a revised and updated track loader, or the tracked dumper.

That magazine looks very good! Unfortunately for us english speaking members, a subscription to such a magazine would leave us only looking at the pictures! I was able to translate the webpage. Something I couldn't do with a printed magazine!
