Default Gravel Pup trailer

I have been wanting to build one of these for a long time so here it goes. This will be for sale when finished. If anyone wants to claim it early, you can decide the style and finish. If not I will build it the way I want and hopefully someone will like it.lol Price will depend on the details of course and be decided when finished or spoken for.

I have a long way to go on this but here's what I have so far from today.

Only a tandem axle. It rides on Tamiya trailer suspension...

It's strange how we live basically the same and yet what is legal or popular on the roads can be so different. Here on the island there are very few end dump trailers and tons of trucks towing pups. Another thing we don't have are lift axles. Very rarely do you see a gravel truck here with more than 3 axles and if you do it is a tridem. Same goes for the highway logging trucks. They are almost all tridem's now and use jeeps on the trailers, no lift axles.

Well the pup is nearly finished and ready for coating! I think this turned out nice and will be a great addition for someone. I need to fashion up a pintle hitch yet and add some mudflaps but that's about it. I am asking $1000US for this one. At this point I am undecided as to what color it will be done so if someone is interested please let me know and I will have it done how you want. The tub could be left raw but the frame should at least be coated black or something.

Thanks for looking!

... That would look so sweet behind my KW and wanted to pull the trigger but....the transmission in our Chevy Avalanche ( which I've been worrying about for the last 2 years) is on its last legs and needs fixing now before our RC show trip in July. Gonna be a 3 grand hit so, I'll have to pass on this one bud

No worries Mario. If no one buys it then I will just have to keep it! That would be terrible. I would like to see it gone though as I can always build another later.

Flaps are on. I think having them on there changed the look a bit. Maybe it's just me...

Thanks, Kenneth.

Twins anyone? I just have the box resting on my KW project. The cab on it sits back a touch further than on a KH so the gap between wouldn't be as small. I hope to finish this up tomorrow and get onto the next thing.

I will sell them together or separate. Sure would look good paired up with someones truck at Indy...

Thanks Ed. These have turned out very nice. I would like to keep this setup for myself but doing that doesn't keep the bills paid.lol I'm not sure if I will have them coated in black or silver or if I should just leave them raw? I guess I will wait and see if anyone is interested before I do anything.

I guess I should have cleaned my fingerprints off of them before they were driven outside but I got excited and forgot.

I had to make a run for shop supplies today so my time actually being productive was limited. I did manage to finish the tailgate on the truck box though.

If anyone wants to know any further information on one or both of them please PM me. I will do a package price for both(truck not included).

Thanks for looking
