I've been very impressed with the quality of the Stepcraft units and hope to get one. Have fun!

I've finally moved on to aluminium First test was to make some new brackets for the suspension: http://youtu.be/2rTEMm9shv4

Standard chassis

Clearance before change

New bracket vs old

New bracket mounted in original holes

Unmounting the front axle

Front axle prepared to be mounted upside down

Front axle in place

Chassis after change

Improved clearance

Nifty idea Emil... my KH dump trk could do with a lift too in the front end. Good work!

Keep posting your new creations with new tool, I keep watching with great interest.

Is it a stock standard StepCraft?

It certainly looks like it does a good job! :-)

Cheers,

I had some trouble with fault parts at delivery, but it was quickly resolved by their customer service. I think I'll upgrade du their 500w mill, the one I have now is only 100w, which really isn't enough for working with metals (I must run it very slow). It was easy to build and set up. I also bought Vectric VCarve Pro for drawing and making CAM files.

If someone wants the drawings of the longer brackets for personal use, just send me a PM.
