Exclamation Power Issues

I just want to start by saying thank you for starting this forum, it helps to talk to others in the hobby for support and guidance.
Now to my issue. I'm nearing the completion of my first truck but I wanted to test the driving and steering before I added alp the lights. It is a knight hauler with full options mfu, powered 5th wheel etc. But when I try to drive the truck I can hear the motor is laboring with no trailer or anything and has no power. So I took my pliers and placed them in front of the front tire and tried to drive over them. Not enough power to force the tire up not even any tire spin on the drives. I checked the diffs and thw transmission I tried in all 3 gears and reverse all the same result. I have experience with other RC and never had this problem. Which leads me to believe it may be electrical and not mechanical. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian
