Dang what a piece of art Fred. Looks good but works so much better than I had thought it would. Now can't wait to see it get painted up and all the body work done.

That is sweet Fred. You need to bring that down to the ECMT show and suck up all of the rubber from the roads!

That's awesome! Good to see you are still on a roll. I think the Steiger loader, with the power broom you made, needs an angle attachment, so it can brush the debris into a windrow, for this street sweeper to follow behind and collect.

This is a perfect way to win points with the Mrs. plus run trucks....This little street (linolium) cleaner would be awful handy and might be in high demand.

WOW,Thanks Guys!
Joe,that's quit the complement,Thanks!
Scott,I wanted to make sure this idea was going to work before I started hangin the most complex part of the build on the truck. Plus I'm still on the hunt for the perfect brushes. The mechanical part is already figured out, just need the brushes so I can figure out where to mount it.
Espeefan, the broom on the backwards tractor is on an angle to the left.
Would of made it power angle, but didn't want to stuff the cab for it.
Well, the only thing left is the brooms & paint.Man this sucks! Now I've got to send this out to be painted,or set back up my booth. There's no way I can spray this thing in the garage this time of the year.
Well,here's the progress.

Hopper dump test.

The vacuum unit is 14.4 volt,so this is what I came up with for turning it off & on.

All this room,& the battery for the truck is gotta go in the cab.
Kinda was hope'in this wouldn't get into lookin like something nasa built.
But once again it's gettin tight.

Thanks for lookin!

FGD, I just might have the round gutter style brush ur are hunting for. I will pm u a pic when I return back home to start my street sweeper. The vacuum was stopping from building one, until I saw what u used.

Yea Scott, that's the last hold up on this baby. Thanks!
Well got a little done, made the top to cover the vacuum compartment.

Then the rear bumper & tail lights.

The back needed something to break up the the big flat spot on the hopper.

Then a panel to fill in the void on the top.

Well this is as far as I can go till I find some brushes.
The other night I swept half the house with her,& she worked like a champ.
I've built a few trucks since in this hobby,& never had one that can maneuver like this little thing. This thing will turn 180 in a small hallway like nothin.
Will post progress as soon as my broom hunt is over.
Thanks for lookin!
