Power comparison
I was just thinking today about which excavator currently on the market was the most powerful hydraulic wise? Just a random thought but i thought it would be a good discussion.

Re: Power comparison
Most German companies use pumps from Jung. Typically they are either 900ml/sec or 1200ml/sec. I think they rate up to 45 bar.

Re: Power comparison
My vote goes to Mother Earth's Komatsu 700. Oro2 also makes beastly Cat excavators.

Re: Power comparison
Weight of an excavator is what allows it to dig a bigger hole and lift heavy objects, (which translates to powerful I think). Fortunately hydraulic pumps are not the bottle neck for our scale models. Main difference between the various pump manufactures are how quiet and efficient they run, and of course volume flow.
The heaviest to date is mother earth pc700 (91 lbs) , second would be Vario. Hope that answers. |
