Unhappy Transmitter control options

Ok so i got the dump working great.

I have a 6 channel tx/rx and want to control the up/down from it. When I attach the dump motor to any channel it only works in one direction and then have to swap black for red for it to work in opposite direction. I tried using white from rx but does nothing.

Tried various combos and doesn't work.

dump motor is standard 2 wire red/black. rx standard red/black/white.

I know it's something simple, but I am losing it.

Definitely due to the nut house.

Nope that was the part that was missing. I had no instructions with this. I have been reading and Reg just emailed me.

Just not sure how to set up with second esc?

off of same transmitter?

Unplug the red wire off the dump motor esc then plug the esc into a spare channel on the rx. Then you need to splice the power leads together. My dump trailer set up runs 3 esc this way. 1truck) 2dump) 3tarp)

I use a dx9 with a right dial knob that I use to raise and
Lower the box and a 3 way toggle for the tarp

uggh. ok so i did the following.
1. connected esc lead to ch6. removed red wire. leaving white/black in correct alignment.
2. cut of tamiya battery plug and spliced the red/black together.
3. made sure switch is in on position.
4. attached esc out leads orange/blue to dump motor.

result: nothing. yes turned tx on and truck on. Second ESC shows red power light on but when i move dial it dims and brightens. no dump motor power at all.

Will the truck drive like normal and just not dump?
Try swapping the esc around dump on the drive
And drive on the dump esc

Could you post some pictures of the wiring? What esc are you using on the dump? It is for a brushed motor right?

2. cut of tamiya battery plug and spliced the red/black together.

Hopefully you spliced red to red and black to black not red to black.
