Talking Case IH 350 quadtrack 1/32. NEED HELP

I’m new here, and I don’t have a lot of knowledge of rc. Trying to do a conversion of an ertl toy quad track. Having trouble with getting my power, Ive got a Tamiya 3 speed gearbox with a small brushed motor, in the long run I don’t think it is going to have enough power, will only spin the tracks in low range, and drains battery rapidly. Does anybody know what I could use that would also sit in the small frame rails

From experience, that gearbox is going to give-way soon....real soon under any kind of load. 1/32 is, for me difficult with the available supplies on this side of the pond. I build everything in 1/16 and up. Let me know if i can help.

I second that the Tamiya gearbox doesn't hold up well to load.

Fir my Bruder D5 conversion, I used 2 Hitech mini servo's, & converted them to continuous servo's. After gutting the potentiometers, (think I spelled that wrong) & stop pins, I used a sabertooth 2X5 speed controller to power it.

Hi ya,

I've been playing with 1/32 RC models for a while. Most 1/32 quads or articulateds use G150 micro motors. As 1/32 is so small you have to search for small electronics to work.

In europe its a big thing converting 1/32 Siku models.

For a micro reciever im using ones from Sol-expert. They work with certain Spektrum transmitters and are tiny in comparison to off the shelf receivers.
