Talking Kenworth Heavy Recovery Rotator

With a little push I decided to start this build today. It will be a twin steer tri drive 80 ton rotator with a Kenworth W9 cab. Here is a pic of the truck I am using as a reference but the cab will be different as well as the front axle spacing.

Thanks for looking.
Travis

Thanks for the complements they are appreciated. So far it is 35in and I am guessing it will be 37 when the front bumper and the stinger for the rear is added.

No Will they were made by one of our members (ihbuilder) who is also a vendor here. Here is a link to his thread about the wheels.

That is going to be one cool truck Don't think it will make the turns at Indy though Might have to figure out some type of trick steering setup.

Thanks guys i had some help and motivation today, Izzy came over for the weekend and the other trucks are close to being ready for paint so we started on this one. I now need to get some smaller gear motors so i can build the screw drive rams and some winches.

Incredible project! It's already looking good, but I know it will get better. What a monster. I hate to think of the money tied up in rims and tires alone, but it's labor of love, I guess, and a fun hobby.
