Post Where to get a "swivel" from???

I have noticed on a number of crane builds that the hydraulics and electrical are running up the booms to power the cylinders and lights. I know on full scale aerial trucks they use a "swivel" under the aerial that the hydraulics and electrical go through so that the aerial can continuously turn without damaging hoses and wires. Question is...who makes this in a scale size? I would assume that the cranes turn on the bull gears, so there has to be a way that this works. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Here is where I start looking. I've bought several over the years, different sizes and circuits. I never bought one from the China seller. I think Modelman has purchased one from these people. If you can't fit one just make one to the size you need.

Thanks for the help 9W! I looked at the site and they have plenty of collectors to choose from. My only other question I need to solve is how to make the waterway swivel. I have thought about using swiveling hydraulic fittings, but they seem bulky. I appreciate your help!

Liquid swivels are not a big deal to make. I've come across a few while looking on ebay. Search "rotary union" some should come up The brand Dueblin http://www.deublin.com/products/union.asp is a leader in this department. For a small setup you're after you may have to build your own electric/liquid union.

Thanks again 9W for the help. I am assuming this is something you have done before? If so, if I have trouble with it can I pick your brain for some help? Thanks again for the answers!!!
