Default Komatsu WA 470

Hi there

Kind of new to this forum, but I have been tinkering with RC equipment for some years now.. Mostly Tamiya trucks, but I also made some other things.

This thread is of a (soon to be) Komatsu WA 470-6 wheeloader

Hydraulic is from "Leimbach" in Germany..

Scetch to work after:

Pictures of my machine, visually not done yet, but it works so I thought i'd show it to you guys

It lifts right below 4 kilograms..

The ground is still frozen this time a year at 69degreee' north, but the top soil was loose enoght to give it a shot with a video:

Fantastic performance your loader has Ronny!

Are using anything to create limited slip in your differentials? Shoo Goo or something similar might help.

As of today there are no kind of limited slip in them- but that I am sure you can see in the video
Been thinking of blocking them completely but I haven't tried it yet..

Thanks for the tip though

Nice build. Can we see some of your construction pictures of the inner workings? Looks like once you get one or both of the axles locked she'll load that bucket just fine. That gravel you're working on is definitely hard to get traction.
Are those rims made of steel?

Very nice job of construction. Since I am partial to the Komatsu brand, it is good to see another one being built. I, also, would like to see the insides of the model and pictures of the building process.

Keep up the good work !

Very nice looking loader. Fantastic work so far. Are those the larger Michelin tires from Liebherrmodel?

That's a great looking loader! It looks well designed and well thought out. I'm looking forward to seeing you get this machine completed!

Thank you all

The tires and rims come from AFV Model, but now you also can purcase them from Liebherrmodelle
Tires: http://www.afv-model.com/4711shop/pr...-5R25-XLD.html
Rim: http://www.afv-model.com/4711shop/pr...le-1-14-5.html

The transmission I bought from RC4WD, and the motor is LRP's TruckPuller3 12Volt.

Regarding traction to the ground I know that a motor at each wheel probably wolud perform best.. But I wanted to keep it "close" to the original, hence the driveline..

The cost is relatively, bought parts for the model are about 2500US$
The tools to have fun with: Lathe, CNC Router, CAD/CAM software, plate bender etc. well that is another story
