Re: RCLogger
I had some equipment out working today, had some fall clean up to do. The tomatoes are done for this season and it was time to clean up the plants..
Not sure if the cylinders on the hoe are starting to leak because it was cooler outside or just to much wear and tare.. Had to punch in a road to the back of the yard. You can see the plants in the back of the photo. I used the thumb on the hoe to pile up plants. Last edited by RCLogger; 10-03-2010 at 08:25 PM. |

Re: RCLogger
Funny you mentioned that Jerry, she had asked what I was up to for the last two hours. I said I cleaned up the tomato plants. She had this BLANK look and said it took two hours.
I then told her I only used my models to do the work... I can't quite figure out the look she gave me after that. LOL Oh well, I had a great time ! ! greg |

Re: RCLogger
My wife is yacking about someone needs to cut all the flowers and tomato plants down on the side of the house. Looking at your pictures makes me think that's a legitimate way to play with the models

Re: RCLogger
Sorry Neil, I was called away.... I have been asked a few times on how I scale up a project, I hope this helps.
Here is how I scale up a project, I must say though that it is the quick and dirt way... There are folks on this site who do things to a high degree of scale. I try and pick a project that is a size that all the operating equipment will fit into. ( motors, servo's, hyd's ). To confirm the size I look for a brochere, like the one below. http://www.komatsuamerica.com/viewch...id=927&chart=1 Last edited by RCLogger; 10-12-2010 at 10:57 PM. |

Re: RCLogger
I've found a few apps now for the Kindle Fire HD (or Android). And it was free! These are simple scale converters. Just type in the dimensions in ft., in., mm, cm or whatever you want to use and get them converted to what ever size you need.
The one I have is called MODEL SCALER. Makes it super easy to figure out. |

Re: RCLogger
By looking at A: Length 17.10
C: Height 10.4 D: Blade 11.6 Now these can be scaled to give an idea for size. http://jbwid.com/scalcalc.htm So at 1/14 scale A: Length = 15.2 inches |

Re: RCLogger
If it all looks good I then print the brochere and take it to the local copy shop and get them to enlarge it to the true model size...
