looks pretty good, a little bit of elbow grease and some new parts and she should be all set to sit on your shelf for the next 25 years and acrue value!!!

This is the very first Tamiya RC I ever saw. My Brother in law bought one back in the early 80's and I was amazed at the detailed assembly required and all the metal parts. Heck, at that time I was a static model fanatic
I think he paid around 800 back then ( bought an extra axle and built a trailer for it) After years of enjoyment he pushed it a little too hard and blew a gear in the tranny ( can't remember which one..) . He put it up on eBay about five years ago. Still had original box in good shape, the truck with the stripped gear and his handmade trailer for 1,200.
Enjoy it Shawn. It's worth money but would hate to see it become a shelf queen . It was never meant to be on a shelf! That's for sure

Nice addition Shawn. I have to agree with Mario...it can't just sit on a shelf....

ha thanks for the tire tip, i noticed that after i took the pic, this is how they were when i bought it lol. As for the shelf, i dont beleive in shelf queens, everything i own gets driven, altho I wont push this one quite as hard as my other dedicated scalers!

That's nice!

I always wanted the Mountaineer as a kid, but I could not afford the $800.
Now that they are reproducing the Bruiser, I'm really hoping to pick one up soon.

I have a rear axle that I've been keeping for a project.
