Default Experimental CAT Extreme Slope Dozer

Here is my vision of what CAT might build if they created something to compete with JD's High Speed Dozer. But this will be able to doze on extreme slopes too.

Model is based on the Blizzard SR with a few mods.

Videos to follow, and it will be working in conjunction with another experimental CAT machine seen here: http://www.rctruckandconstruction.co...ad.php?t=10127

First off, all bushings were replaced with bearings and the standard 16t pinion gears were swapped out for 13's. A full blown motor/trans swap might occur down the road too.

The stock metal tracks are nice but a little too wide for this machine's intended purpose (dirt only, no snow) so they were narrowed down by approx. 1/2". It wasn't easy cutting up a nice set of tracks but sometimes the design calls for it

The standard bogie wheels aren't up to CAT's heavy duty standards so they need to be "beefed up"

Using a 1.7 Tamiya truck wheel the "steel" plates are shaped up...

The plates are welded into the OEM wheels

Mounting holes for the lugs and center cap are made

Gear Head bolts and a road wheel cap from a Heng Long bulldog tank installed

Finished bogies ready for paint...

Sabertooth ESC install, new Cab, and blade mods coming soon
