Default How do I hookup two different crawler brushless motors to one receiver?

Hey guys,
Looking for help. I'm building a KW 8x8 oilfield bed truck. I'm running novak"timbuk2" 18.5 combo for the main power train, and I've got a novak goat 21.5 brushless combo for the main winch. I'm not sure how to hook up second motor to run on its own esc. Can I just plug and play into my choice of channel? Do I have to provide another power source to run thie aux esc? If so, will there be problems with these batteries working against each other?

The current build I'm doing uses 4 brushless motors & esc's in parallel. I will use the red wire in the receiver lead from esc & seal off the other 3 from use. These terminal blocks seen in this pic come in handy for hooking many electrical devices to one power source through one on/off switch.

The battery & switch side, you just use wire loops for the + & - across the bar. And connect each device on the other side.

The terminal strip makes it easy to change out electrical components should you wish to change to something else or replaced a failed a component vs having to cut & re solder all back together.

I use a simple rocker switch similar to these between battery & terminal strip to turn on/off main power.

Ok. I'm understanding the power supply hooked to the terminal.....split from there to wherever the power is needed. Correct?
Then the signal wire from the secondary esc can be plugged into any channel on my receiver? I guess the channel obviously would have to be a 3-way....???

In my build, all four esc's have to work together, so I twist all the blk wires (grd)together, all the wht wires (sig) together & use one red wire (BEC power) from one esc & terminate the other 3.

Your build, the two esc's are doing two different functions, so each servo lead should be on its own channel, but use only one red wire & terminate the other from its servo plug. Choose the esc with the highest BEC rating to power the receiver. And yes both tx switches controlling the esc's should be 3position for forward/neutral/reverse.

I have a question. I am wondering if you bought the rearend in the picture or did you build them?
Also do you have to have a left and right motor?
Do you have to have a esc on each motor or can you hook the motors together and run one esc. I am converting a mining dump truck and that rear end would be perfect.
I did fine a motor assembly like that but can't order it because the site is in german and translate doesn't work on checkout. So I'll have to make my own.
Any help would be much appreciated.

This axle is from the Fumotec B4206 4x4 tractor kit
http://www.fumotec.de/modelle/dumper/index.php

No right or left motor, but rather how each esc is initially programmed, one esc 'normal', the other 'reversed' so they both run same direction.

These particular powered axles are using brushless motors on planetary gearheads & each motor has to have its own esc. If the motors were brushed, then you could use one esc to power1 or 2 or 3 paired motor axles or whatever the Amp limit of the esc is.

Did you see a 'Contact Us' button on the site? Try emailing them for information for purchase & payment options.
