Default 1/14 buckles for curtain side trailer

Hi there everybody...

It seems that I run out of ideas...

Is there anyone that can help me find or give any ideas of how to build those buckles curtain side trailer uses to tight up the canvas?
Hope you understand what I'm looking for.
For my 3axle trailer I'll need nearly 40 pieces...
Thanks a lot in advance...

Bill...

Hi there again...
Since I can't read German I managed to find those buckles in the site suggested by trucker n by searching every link...

Now I'm wondering if anyone knows any source or have an idea for a track system that can make my 3axle trailer as a working curtain side...

Thanks a lot again in advance...

Bill...

Reading any non english laugage is easy buy copying the sentence and pasting it to google translate, it also comes in handy when reading the euro sites and the builds

Somewhere i saw a guy bend up thin wire into the shape of a digital 8 with a dab of solder at the 2 overlaps. I think he showed several ways to configure straps. I'm still trying do find the thread after a few days.

Anyway, grab needlenose pliers about the width of the ribbon you're using, and some thin solid wire. 1 jaw width make a 90 degree bend, 1 jaw width 90 this is buckle center, 1 jaw width 90, 1 jaw width 90 this is buckle bottom, 2 jaw widths 90, 1 jaw width 90 this is buckle top, then 2 jaw widths or just trim flush. Square up, glue or solder as required.

Easy way of rigging hook 1 strap around center leg, touch of glue, clamp with pliers until cure. Take other strap through top, over middle, and through bottom of buckle.

I think there was also something about glue strap at bottom, then take strap through top, around middle, back through top.

Thanks a lot for your help guys...

Cossett,I've used translations but most of the times I'm using a smartphone to search in the web and change tabs is boring.when sit on a PC it's a great thing to use...

Frizzen, thanks a lot for your explanation.it makes sense.I'll give it a try but if I'll fail I might go for the ready ones.they look very scale...

Above the search bar on that web site is a row of flags. If you click the British flag the site will now be primarily in english.

Thanks a lot guys for the flag suggestion...
I've searched the site many times for a flag.probably because of the smartphone it takes me to mobile version of the website that doesn't support English.
I'll have a try from my desktop...

What size and style buckles are you hoping for?

(I shouldn't have come here, you made me play with ribbon and paperclips... )

Looks good frizzen, made a bunch at the same time using bra strap 8 shaped sliders, ribbon, made my own hooks for the ends and fabric glue and soing thread, as I couldnt afford the price some are charging for them, the best part is my ones are cut to my lenght.......

Cheers Tracy

Sorry, i wish i could edit that to fix the pic. First time using that img host. Mod, please delete the pic, or add either l or m right before the file type.

That's supposed to be 3/8" ribbon, not 3 miles wide.

Thanks a lot frizzen...those look really interesting...it's a good thing to have a 3d printer...
I'm quite happy with the buckles from fechtner..i was looking for parts to use for the hanging of the curtain...
The bad thing is that i already made the frame and it's hard to fit something to make it working...i might uses those buckles for scale reasons and try it in my next trailer...
I might also destroy the upper construction and start it from the beginning...

Thanks alot again...your help was very inspiring for next project...
