Thread subscriptions and email updates

Not sure where to post this..?

For some reason I am not getting an email when a new post appears on threads that I have subscribed to?

I always highlight the instant email notification option as well.

Any ideas?

In your 'User CP' -> 'Edit Options' -> what's your subscriptions mode set to?

Forum default is 'Do Not Subscribe'.

I never use this option myself, so I don't know if there is a hiccup or not.

Thanks for the pointer, just checked and its set to "instant email notification"

The problem I use it when I leave and reply, or ask a question... people reply and sometimes I miss their reply - if that makes sense?

Mod - one thing I did notice, after registering on this forum I got a message to advise that my account needed activation, normally I would expect to receive an email with a link, well that never happened. I came back after a few days and I could post - not sure if its related?

Same here. Thread subscriptions don't seem to work for me either. Nor do I get any emails telling me I have received a private message, like most other forums. Maybe the mods just need to turn on a feature/option or something. I have tried clicking instant email notifications on threads too, but never got any emails.

Guys,it's not in the v-bulletin set up.We had some problems awhile back a had a guy come in & check it out. Must of turned it off in server.Now me & the server aren't well acquainted,So give me a couple of days to figure it out.I'm gunna be livin in a plow truck tonight & tomorrow. So will get on it in the evening. Yu never know,might get lucky & find it real quick.
