Default Scaleart axle problems?

Hello all,

Just a question, has anyone had any problems with the scaleart axles? Having unwanted noise or the wheels not fitting the axles easily?

Nope, not have had any problems. Are wheels and axles from scalart?

Front or rear, if front driven axle or not?

What exactly is the problem?

Are your axles the new version or the old one? (new ones you bolt the wheels to the axle, the older version has the bolts already in place and wheel bolted on with a nut.)

Can you post a picture?

Stephan

Yes, both wheels and axles are Scaleart.

Rear axle, the one without throughput

What exactly is the problem?
When I first attached the axles to the chassi and checked that they both turn the right way, I couldn't turn the rear axles with cardans in place. Took the cardans off, and all other axles was OK, but not the second rear one, it was stuck. Took it off, and turn it by hand and it loosed up, but it still have a noise that something is not OK. I have contacted Scaleart but they have not answered yet.

There is special piece to what you bolt the wheels, then you put the hole thing to the axle, it didn't fit either but got that to work with a drill and some sandpaper.

Can you post a picture?
Yes I could, but the problem that is left is not getting any clearer with a picture

Hi Marcus,

sounds like your differential lock is stuck (so a picture wouldn't help)

Scaleart will take a while to get back to you, but they will. Just be patient. - is a long weekend in most of Europe.

Al the best and hopefully you can soon finish your build.

Out of curiosity, what are you assembling?

Stephan

Yes, I know, they have been very helpful from the beginning. Just wanted to ask if anyone else has had these kind of problems.

I'm assembling a Mercedes Arocs 6x6 roll on off tipper. Still waiting for the pump, valves, gearbox and radio.

Hi Marcus, nice truck! Going to give you tons of fun once finished!

Post some pictures of it if you can.

The people at ScaleART will probably ask you to send the axle back so they can fix it. Hopefully it doesn't take too long before you get it or the replacement back.
