Default Mfu verses servonaut question

Hey guys I just purchased a tamiya Aeromax rig. I have question requiring sound. I'm planning on having lights and sound with this rig. After reading several of the forums here Ive got more questions . The servonaut is strictly sound correct? And the tamiya is esc incorporated right? I would rather run my own esc and lipos. Seems to me the tamiya mfu is pretty old of a design and expensive. I just don't know much about them. What is the preferred way to go that most of you guys use? And planning on using a 9channel stick radio so plenty of options for switches ect,,,, and most of the time will be slow speed as I think I'm going to be making this a heavy haul rig. Pulling a d11 probably above 60 lbs.

Hi there,

Servonaut actually make everything from sound units, light kits to speed controls with light interfaces included as one piece, So in your case you can use your own ESC and use one of servonaut's sound units: here are your options :

( sound units always are sold separately, no built in ESC and sound )

For trucks I use SMX: sound with V6- inline 6 or V8 with turbos and back up beeper and ambulance sirens , you can change them as you like.

For machines I use SMT: more of none turbo sounds and have an old school sound to them.

If you want something more of a full experience you get the M20+ : this is a ESC with light interface built in, will also give you gears with a neutral change and all the fixings. It's not like the MFU, this one when you put it in reverse you still have to push the stick forward to back up just like pushing a gas pedal , blinkers are activated and stay on even when the front wheels are straight, M20+ Paired with a SMX and you'll have a wonderful rig.

I have every option they ever made. And they are just simply the best. I hope this helps. PM me if you any questions.

I don't have sound in any of my trucks. Is there a place to hear the different servonaut sound files?

That Beier unit is pretty cool, It is certainly an option I would consider next!

I would have bought a servonaut setup a long time ago but the price puts me off.
$275 for the SMX unit, the same again for the M20+, then theres the ML4 and possibly the BE8 units, so there is $600+. And then you have to buy LED's etc. Unless somebody could tell me where I could get it all cheaper?

The MFC-01 and MFC-03 are approx $240-260 and are all inclusive...
