The Tamiya rack & pinion lift on this trk is somewhat limited in travel & won't completely dump a wet load without jerking it off, but lift power it is not short of! The Firgelli linear servos would certainly remedy tipping the box higher & Firgelli's have built in limit switches making them dummy proof to use. Not sure what stroke or ratio to get for the right balance of lift power & speed.

Your lift still not working the way I described to you?

I had a weak battery, but I tried to figure out the conversion of steering to +1 channel for lift. I left a battery on charge outside on the concrete when I left today. I hope to spend some more 5ime on it when I get home.

Got home to a charged batt. Installed it and read through the manual I downloaded. The bed goes up and down now, but sometimes it won't. I think, operator error. I tried adjusting the EPA on the steering to 60% and it seemed to work for a while. The batt is old and the steering doesn't work as well at 10.9v. Plus, I'm not sure if it has to go backwards prior to dump or not.

Joe, thanks for the configuration help.

Exclusive, thanks for the offer on the help.

I'm hoping to use the stock setup on this for now. Something my grandsons and I can play with. We have a cheap 27 MHz boat and a 2x4 scorpion. Boat is new cheapo from Target, Scorpion is used and needs swing arm tabs/brackets replaced. If I can fix the scorpion I might just change to this same controller. Or a 4 channel in the same brand.
I really appreciate everyone's input. I'm just getting started in this hobby, and it can get confusing just reading all the threads.

Had it running in the house some tonight, getting the steering and dumping adjusted on the controller. Need some practice driving and figure out how to make it dump consistently

Going to try a dab of dirt in it soon as I get the chance. Been digging with the 170 skid steer tonight.

10.9v? These models are suppose to run on 6cell 7.2v (8.4v fully charged)

Yea, that's right. I think the controller was at 10.9v. I was running a 7.2 NiCad battery after thinking about that. Duhhh, brain fart
