It looks great, and in my opinion, now would be a good time to cast it, seeing there aren't any holes in it. I think some builders would prefer to drill the holes themselves, depending on what they use for headlights and air cleaner tubes.

You know I'm interested in one

Have to start with one at a time...

Oh, if I could only win the lottery, but that means I'd have to play, right

The hood is ready for casting it will be ready by the end of the year. But I now hear word of a 3D printed one. The 3d printing is nice just not sure about the reparability of the plastic they use I know the resin is easily repaired with a little CA glue and it bonds very well. What do you guys think keep going with having it cast or let it go?

I haven't seen the 3D option, but I've always thought the more options available the better. I think you should cast it if for no other reason than to have an alternative hood available on the market.

Are you looking at casting yourself or out sourcing? Something that size would be fairly easy to cast yourself, thus reducing cost. I wouldn't worry too much about competing with the 3D printing. Albeit they are nice, they are still expensive due to being a fairly new process in hobby modeling. Just my two pennies tossed on the counter... I'm interested in your hood, I like the detail you put into it. Great job!

Looking great...love to see another old school hood made.

Just wondering...after the final prototype would you be better off having it copied in 3D?

This may save you time and money after you get the hood ready for sale??

As far as the 3d option I don't like the 3D materials they don't paint very well and you can't repair is easily as resin.
