Default tamiys trailer question

has anybody mounted the king pin right to the floor of the trailer
thinking of trying to get the trailer a little lower

I see no issues other than having to have the trunion re positioned so that the trailer does not slope forward. I would think this would make the stock box trailer look alot better when coupled to the truck. Flat bed or tanker the full frame looks ok

also be carefull if you have fenders on the tractor. it will scratch them to ****

I did that to my flatbed trailer. Seems to work alright, but I wouldn't take it off road. Sits a little too close to my fenders. There are picks of it in my "globe" build thread.

If its still touching the fenders you could raise the turntable skid plate a mil or two with brass that way you don't damage them while keeping the front of the trailer as close as possible....
