Default Boom/crane truck

Been wantin to make one of these for awhile, actually had everything pulled out & was ready to go at it.But there was acouple be'in built,so figured I'de wait a bit to git back on this baby.
There's gunna be a hold up once I git to a certain point.(hydraulics)!
Just got off of the phone w/Pmd & there's no light at the end of the tunnel for hydraulic parts showin up at my door.
Have some big dreams on the burner for going screw drive. But not to sure about all that.
Anyhow....here's what i've got go'in so far.

This babies gittin a real bumper,so got to give er something to mount to.

Now the base of the crane.

& the main mount/swing arm.

Thanks for lookin!

Not to sound like a broken record ... but how about a twin steer picker!

What hydraulic components do you need? Maybe you could buy them directly from Germany. I wonder if TTM has the valves in stock (they also list Leimbach pumps). Others have gotten cylinders from Clippard or McMaster-Carr and you can buy the Jung pump directly from Jung-Fluid (and Kampfer has one on his site as well but it appears to be more than is needed).

Looking forward to seeing this one come together.

Thanks Guys!
Yea Steve,This is gunna have to have hydraulics.
Vanisle,I'll git to one of those very soon. Was lookin through some pics,& fell in love w/the one I'm makin. One of those just gotta have it deal, plus wanta see if I can pull it off. & thanks for the parts info.

Really wanted to go w/some nice alcoa wheels on this baby. But! There's none to be had.Well at least in my life time.
Then it hit me like a brick, one of the nice gents on the forum sent me some nice rim wideners for the stock rims.

Well now...ain't that just spiffy! Thanks Tc1! So now I git to run my favorite tires on American rims.
Well...managed to get swing arm framed in.

Main section of boom ready to mount.

Then came up w/turn table plate & mount.

Yea,that ole-trany bearing,is like made to order.
Here's acouple of pics of it just slid together,so yu git the idea of where this is headed.

Thanks for lookin!

Talking Re: Boom/crane truck

Once or twice in a lifetime you have the opportunity to witness true genius. This is one of those moments. I feel like a bolt of lightening has just struck me right up side the head and came out my toes. I cannot even fathom how glorious the next masterpiece to emerge from the bottomless pool of Ingenuity and creativity that is freddygeardrive will be.

Great job so far Freddy, it'll be quite nice when your done, I'm sure. That will be neat as you unload your skidder duals off that truck, while the service truck has the air compressor fired up bolting them on your skidder.
