I like the 229 cat, the company I work for has a old 235 with a hoe ram on it , there is something about older iron, that just excites me, kind of like older women. lol

great pics of the heli, is that on top of strathcona park? do you fly the heli?

Greg gave me a ride in his "desk job" when I visited him & Lou summer 08, Greg is a super smooth pilot! Thanx for the great view of the Comox/Courtney/Qualicom valley Greg.

Is that a weather station in the last photo Greg?

When I started operating the machines that I posted they were not all that old, it seems like it was only a few years back. ( But it was in the 80's ) I have to say though, I don't think I have aged, not sure about the other half though
The photo's are in the Whistler area, around 8000 feet.

It is a photo of a communication shell. Due to the fact that winter is, well I don't have to tell you Joe. ( Ugly to say the least ) Snow and ice would build up on the antenna's and break them off and also burry them in the winter, so the radio repeaters and antenna's are in side for protection. There are times when half the com shells are burried in snow and all is well, we do have to dig down to get in the door in winter months. The shells are about 30 feet tall and have solar pannels on the outside of them to keep the batteries charged..

Hi all,

Speaking of the snow Saturday I went snow chasing for the 1st time (via a muddy play in the pine forest)and I love it It was snowing 1 hour west from our house between Jenolan Caves & Oberon It was the last snow for the year and I also made a snow man that was sat on the Suzuki and he stayed there for at lest 2 hours while driving

Cheers Cossett
