Cool Kenworth W900A (Spencer Inspired)

Hey all I decided to just do a new thread for my first and so far only truck to save the pain of looking at the eye-sore old one . This truck started as a King Hauler in 2012 or so and until 2015 new years was somewhat stock with the PMD goodies on it. Now I can actually have something to be proud of and be worthy of RCT&C!

This is the very truck I based mine on, My absolute favourite truck of all time. It has a very cool history as alot of you may know and has been owned by many cool characters. I love the outlaw attitude it puts off as well.

Taken at the 2014 Truck Show in Red Deer, Alberta last August alongside hippy's awesome cab-overs. This pretty much sums up this trucks first few years of being built before I tore it down on New Years of this year.

And as you can see(sorry for the terrible image quality, I'm poor folk and can't seem to get a new camera) the truck now! the bumper is the 16 LED PMD but not mounted or used and the new visor is going to be half of this one.

Firstily I chopped and channeled the sleeper, Stretched the frame 6" to improve mobility in tight places and once it was all together I tore apart and hacked the front suspension so that it is lower, more narrow and forward to accommodate the stretched hood. The back suspension looked too high, so it was also hacked up as well and now it sits a little lower with no suspension travel because total useful function is overrated anyway. Next came along that hood and my god I've never fought with anything so hard in my life in building this and mounting it much like the rest of the truck but we all got to start somewhere!

Thing's to do yet before the next truck show next weekend are 1. New Camera 2. Make bumper 3. Do "V" in hood and hood top for A-Modelness and finish headlights and 4. Very rear Deckplate with tail light holes.

It runs and drives actually very good and with the steering mod it helps wonders. This winter I plan to drop a proper 60" flat top on it and also do some more Kenworth-Like cab mods(mirrors, aircleaners, steps and better fuel tanks and etc.) and rebuild the old rattle can Tamiya box trailer to something like what's behind the Spencer truck with matching fenders(made from the weird full fenders that came with the trailer) and the axles moved back to hopefully make a decent looking Rig.

More updates to come after the show!

Thanks everyone for the awesome compliments! Well the Big Rig weekend was absolutely awesome. Got the truck as ready and the best I could in the time I was given and it ran pretty well with nothing but a 5 sec bench test. The color is a thick matte black from plasti-dip so I can peel it and start putting some more time into the body as it still has a long way to go! After doing some thinking I think I wanna try putting a Aero 1 bunk on it if I can get ahold of one. Almost ready to order some more wedico cablights to fill in the spaces on the roof(9), fab up some smaller headlights and work the grill some more and coat it in Bare-Metal and etc. But overall I'm extremely happy with it as I got alot of thumbs up from the show!
