Default 4200XL, holes in oil tank fitting welds.

Have had my 4200 for a couple months and never noticed some holes in fittings weld seems on the hydro tank. Not sure if they appeared after use or have always been there and I just noticed once some grime made them more apparent. RC4WD is digging up a tank for me now. Not sure if I'll have to pay for it or not yet. Just a heads up to other owners to check your tank weld seems.

Well no dice on a freebie from rc4wd. $75 later I'll be getting a new tank.

The welder or monkey didnt do his welding job properly and you have to pay for a new one how does that work out when its defective ????
I suppose if you clean it up you have a spare tank........

Yea, rc4wd only does a 30 day warranty. I was a bit surprised too when I was told I would have to pay full price for it. I'm guessing the holes were plugged with paint and after some run time the paint gave way under pressure.

A little fiber glass would have fixed it and it would have looked a lot better when done. Ed
