Default rubber track casting

Does anyone know how rubber tracks are molded? Are they made on a circular mold? I am wanting to build a mini excavator style design with more of a tractor tread than a straight bar lug. Anyone with previous experience casting rubber please chime in.

They would be circular . You may want to add some cable or strong fishing line in the mold to prevent the tracks from stretching.
