Thanks Guys!
Cossett,I plan on installing a 4:1 & was going to light her up then.
Espeefan, the dirt was damp when I made the vid, plus there was no weight on the disc yet.
I do agree though,a chisel would give er a work out.
So this is what i've done so far.

This one is just to find out how hard this baby is gunna pull per chisel.
Hopefully she will pull this like nothing, then can go the width of the disc w/the next one.
Thanks for lookin!

Hey Freddy, great job so far! Did you see the write up on the Ford FW series tractor's, in the July/August issue of Heritage Iron Magazine? Nice article. I didn't know they were built By Stieger, learned something new!

Yup, Steiger also built articulated tractors for International, back in the '80s. If you look closely, they share a lot in common. Fenders, steps, cabs, frame, and so on. International and Ford really only influenced the sheet metal for the hood, and engine selection. Otherwise, they were Steigers all the way.

Nathan don't leave us Orange guys out, Steiger built the Allis Chalmers 440 before AC made their own home grown 4Wds.

Hey, now wait a minute. Those tires are supposed to be for your skidder, don't rob Peter to pay Paul. The chisels plow looks good. Did you cut the chisels out by hand (jigsaw, scrollsaw)?

Guys,Thanks!
Ben,don't worry I'm just trying different tires till I find the sweet spot.
I used a scollsaw.

Well managed to get the chisel plow done.Except for paint.

A vid of er lifting.

Here's a couple of it in action.

I made up a sled to mount my camera to. Here's acouple vids of it behind the tractor.

The camera is just enough additional weight to stop her dead with the plow & disc.
This vid shows the need for weights.

Hope you enjoyed the vids.
Thanks for lookin!

Take a look at the HPI mud thrashers. They have a tractor tire look to them.

Nice videos, Fred. How much does your tractor weigh now? Which gear are you running the tractor in, for the movies? At least it's not short on power, but it could probably use a little more weight for the heavy tillage. Fill the tires with some BB's maybe. Does the rear of the tractor oscillate much? Can't really tell from your articulation center joint, but in the video, when the one tire breaks loose and spins a hole, it looks like the rear is oscillating. Did you think about locking the differentials at all, or would that make steering worse?

I enjoyed the videos. I'm about to try my hand at building a tractor like this, thanks to you, but a red one. Any advice for a newbie?

Fred could you change the gear ratio in the chisel plow lift to make it faster?

Can't get enough of the Farm Tractors, awesome build, deff need to lock that rear. Keep thinking this would be great for grooming a short course track or pulling track

There is a reason for not locking the rear. When using a servo for steering you need one axle to be open so it is not working against all 4 tires. With the limited space a 1/4 scale servo is not always an option and is what I had to use in my CAT 975 since I locked the axles and it took up a lot of space and required its own battery to boot. I must say for its size and weight Freddy's little tractor does one heck of job.

Nice operation Farmer Fred. Quite the camera man also, I see. Who knew your where such a talented old man. Once you find the right tires, like Nate said "fill the tires with BB's (prob. nuttin' new to you though). Good job.

Oh B.T.W., you've forced me into making my own dump bed since you don't answer. We'll see how it turns out.
