Default Craftsman Vertical Mill?

So my dad passed away and I found a Craftsman vertical mill (527-21411) that he had and I don't know anything about it or where to find parts/tools for it. He had a box of FlyCutter tools with two tools in it and a couple of what looks like drill bit holders but looking at the drive part of the mill and it looks like its missing a part that would clamp the bit holder into the mill, like the locking nut on a dremel tool. Where might I find parts for this and maybe a manual so I can learn how to use the mill and the different tools that I already have? Also where is a good place to get some aluminum stock to work with and practice with? Thanks for the help in advanced.
Clint

I don't have a photo yet. Gotta do the jumping through the hoops on Photobucket cause I can't get ImageShack to work on my laptop or my phone so when I get that I will share it here. It does look like a sweet little mill so I'm kinda excited to work something with it and see what happens.

Thanks Neil, you got this rookies back! So any info on this little guy or maybe a place to download a PDF manual or something and if anyone knows where to get parts for it I would greatly appreciate it. Also where's a good place to get some aluminum and or brass stock to learn with? Thanks for the help in advance.

It's a Sherline mill, made in California. Great machines for it's size. It's said they offer the largest number of accessories among any machine tool brand, for their machines. They also have a great instruction book for beginners, concerning general practice using machine tools. Check out sherline.com

Sherline started production around 1975, and machines with the Sears label were mainly sold during the 80's what I've read. The newer machines, 90's onward have a more powerful motor, otherwise there are few changes to the basic setup and design. Got a mill and lathe in the late 90's myself. Later on I got bigger machines, and the mill didn't see much use so I passed it on, but still have the Sherline lathe for small pieces. Great precision, at a affordable price. I've added digital readout.
