Default Slightly mod: 4200xl

Facelifted my 4200xl with styrene, homemade steelbucket. New internal hydraulics, premacon valves and jung-pump. More like 1/14 scale now

Looking much better than the OEM version, well done!

Any vids to show off the new hydraulics?

What was the price for the Premacon hyd set?

Nice mod for the body and bucket. I also have the 4200XL along with 2 Fumotec/Vario Excavators. I am also going to make mine look more like a Komatsu. I have a lot of mods that I am going to make on my 4200XL too. I too gutted the valves and pump. I bought new valves and pump from Frank at Fumotec that I still have in a box. I haven't installed them yet, but will get some extra time soon. What bar pressure are you operating the system? Are the hydraulic cylinders OK with the set up? No leaks?
Thanks,
Eddie

Tnx folks

Running for the moment at 20 bar pressure @2400 rpm. The movements are signifacant faster than the original setup. Maybe a little bit to fast if you compare it to scale movement, and much stronger. The bucket is a copy of "scandinavian" style bucket. The original cylinders are no good. Poor machined on the inlets, so it is diffucult stop minor leaks. I use loctite 243 and som thin gaskets, but it is not good enough. Looking for 5mm "dowty" sealings, but I have not found it, yet... The cylinders seems to function nice still. Have not tested it in the field yet, so time will show

Bought the hydraulic setup directly from Premacon in Germany and paid ca 450 euros for the 3-way valve, pump, coupling and some hoses and niples inclusive freight.

Some more pics

That is a great idea. I have looked at the 4200XL before but though it looked rather plain in stock form.
