Default Lockers

ive been looking at the locker rear ends ,the ones that are supposed to be able to lock and unlock..i see what appears to be wires coming from the rear end housings,what are they and how do they work?

Typically the wires pull a lever to pull the diff lock in. You pull the wires via a servo mounted elsewhere(in the centre of the frame, in a fuel tank etc)...



In the above photo you can see the White arms of the diff lock servos (1 for the rear axles, and one for the front).

The lock and unlock via a cable controlled lever operated by a micro servo or manual lever.

In my opinion, our trucks if used in the off road are best to be locked in full time. This can be done for free with stock tamiya rears and diff internals.
