Default advice needed

My son and i are wanting to get into the rc construction hobby. i would like to get a excavator, front end loader, bull dozer or dump truck.. my question is what is a good brand of equipment to buy thats not going to break really fast isnt going to break the bank and will actually dig push or haul tilled up loose dirt or sand... it doesnt have to be something that will dig in hard ground. any and all advice is appreciated thanks in advance.

Buying a new machine cheaper than Wedico, will involve DIY modifications and more money to make things work.

Need more info from you Josh. Where in the world are you located? What's your budget? ("break the bank" is very subjective) You really should try to attend a local event and pick the brains of somebody that's into the hobby. Seeing this stuff in person will likely open your eyes to what you want.

You'll most likely find yourself starting down the same path(slippery slope) as a lot of us:
Tamiya truck kit > convert to dump truck > equipment to load dump truck
