I have a question if you are into such a detailed model why didn't you use the same lock foe the pins that the real excavators use? Ed

Show me a good reference photo and I'd be glad to. Here in cornland, there's not a need for such large equipment. Suppose I could go up to Moline and take some photos (if they even have them there)

Moving right along. Edge welding is easy to screw up, looks like I've got the machine setup correct!

To answer you about a picture I did not get one but I called the local Deere equipment dealer and they said that there is just a strap over the end of the pin with a bolt holding the strap on. Ed
