Re: JBC limited NZ
thanks Justin
didn't get a whole lot done last night, made up a cover for the fly wheel . I made it quite a bit bigger than needed just in case I need to fit a bigger fly wheel, and also had some major dramas getting the hopper vibrator to move product, had to make some temporary brackets to align the hopper , and will need to make a bigger vibrator weight. also had a dive into the scrap bins and found some pretty cool bits and pieces to make some vents , grills ect to give it a bit of detail. last night shift tonight so want to get hopper functioning and looking the part, may be even get a shute made up to take the fines away before the crusher. one thing at a time. |

Re: JBC limited NZ
had a good night and have completed all major steel work, vibrator fitted , tested and all good.
need to make a couple of screen guards to cover weight on vibrator. will pick up some paint on days off and give it a bit of colour , but realy need the motors to show up so I can make the necessary brackets and belts to fire the beast into life. in the next few days hope to have some platforms , stairs and railing made up and painted and will also look at getting two sprockets and make a start on finnishing the tracks. just a small list of things to do now. progress pictures cheers andy |

Re: JBC limited NZ
Wow Andy, the crusher sure is coming along great! I can't wait to see and hear it do some crushing.. I agree on a way to get rid of fines. Won't take long and it'll be everywhere.
My conveyor started slipping after extended use. The back side of belt collected the fines and transferred it to the wooden drive roller. It had a complete thin layer packed onto it. I realized that installing a brush to clean the belt is not an option but a must! Anyway, nice work. Enjoying the build. |
