Hello from uk
Hello from uk,great forum you have here, ive been looking in for a while.
Ive converted a bruder skidsteer loader to rc and im currently stretching a bruder lowloader,if anyone can tell me the height of the fifth wheel from the ground on a std tamiya truck that would be helpful. I currently have quite a few bruder models awaiting conversion, its just finding the time. |

Re: Hello from uk
My King Hauler from fifth wheel sits just under 4 inches tall, or right at 10cm. Hope this helps...

Re: Hello from uk
Hi Thermonty73
Most people use the tamiya twin motor gearbox for the drive, although the plastic gears can be a bit fragile and the motors really need changing to 12v scalextric type motors, i got one off ebay for about £10 delivered for another project, then you just need a couple of micro servos for the blade, ebay is a good place to start..........hope this helps,oh and theres a build thread here http://www.rc-trucking.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1225 |

Re: Hello from uk
Hi Bobcat,
Thank you for getting back to me, i've brought some micro servos from ebay and got hold of a tamiya gearbox from. http://www.technobotsonline.com/ They have been very helpfull still a little confused about wiring motors up to work as i would like them too and voltages but i'm hoping that i can learn that as i'm going along. Looking forward to build it may even post pics to get peoples opinion. Cheers |
