For sure! Pleasing yourself is all that really matters with this stuff. It just so happens that as an added bonus you are pleasing the rest of us too with your updates. How did you attach the teeth? I think I used a small weld and a bolt but I don't really remember.

I haven't attached them yet, but you took the thoughts right outa my mind, I'm gonna bolt them in with 1 bolt on each and then run a line of weld around them.

True story! Every time I work on my project, I think of the bush song "little things" lol.

Today I have been machining up the various parts for the rams.
Here they are in different stages.

Another little update.

Made this pipe bender so I can make the pipes on the rams.

I was a commercial vehicle engineer for 20 yrs, but we never had a lathe or mill, everything was hand fabricated. So I guess I use some of them skills.
This is my first serious go at anything on a lathe/mill and boy is great learning new techniques. I'm sure there are a lot easier ways to achieve what I'm doing, but I'm learning.

Your tube bender seems to work great. I know it is hard to bend copper or brass tubing from experience with out the proper tools. Ed

After a lot of messing trying to get the hydraulic cylinders working correctly, I think I have finally cracked it.
I will post some pictures later today.

Hey, I call shenanigans! You said you'd post more pictures later today and that was at least a month ago and I still don't seem them! Seriously though, any updates? I look forward to your progress...

Hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates but work commitments and family bereavement meant the build had to go on hold.
But good news.... It's finished at last.
