Welcome! I have watched all of your videos. Being a cable operated digging fan I would naturally be interested in your machines!

Nice job on the new bucket, it works well. If it wasn't for some clues in the background you'd think you were looking at a fullsize dragline in the first video.

Hello, I have subbed to your YouTube channel and have been watching your cable diggers and bulldozer videos.

They are very good and unique models, do you have a build thread of them? I would love to see how you made them.

Hello all,

here are some pics during the construction:

The frame is made in aluminum. Tracks are the Universalkette from Conrad electronics, but i cut them smaller. Motors for driving are two RB35:600, transmission over little chaines. The slewing ring is from Leimbach, because i'm not able to build it self.

Hello all,

the winches, for digging two RB35:100 and one Maxxon gearbox-motor to pull the boom.

the cab was very difficult, today i would build this parts in copper

For operate i'm using a Graupner F14 (40MHz), 12Volt plumbum battery and 4 controller Thor 15, two of them will switched between winch- and driving motors, radio controlled over a little servo.

Best Regards

I've built this excavator in 2007/2008. In 2012 i've made some reconstructions in electric parts, winches and tracks.

the grey track is the old, the brown the new

completing the cab with sliding doors and a new construction for calming the clamshell bucket.

the principle of function in motion. The end of the rope is fixed at the clamshell bucket and tries to pull at the weight. Therefore the clamshell bucket can't turning and twisting. A typical Menck construction, built from the beginning in 1900 till the end in 1978

Hello all,

the dragline bucket, soldered in steel and copper.

Special thanks to Steve (9W Monigham), because he gave me some pieces of advice for building a dragline bucket with good operating results. The first bucket was not very good and has no good filling grades.
