Yep I had a great childhood. Have a lot of Mack trinkets

The RD steel hood was actually very clean. I have a lot of part sources yet but there were few parts needed to redo it. Most was interior parts but weren't hard to find
It's kind of funny but I still work on a lot of Mack's now. I have a good customer that my dad converted to Mack that I do a lot of work for

Here is a little update on the build.

I stretched it just a little more than a stock globe liner. Simply moved the truinion back one bolt hole and moved the fenders with it as well.

Its not 100% done yet. I will be adding some more detail parts this weekAnd possible lights after this weekends show.

Beautiful! Love the paint job. It has classic Mack written all over it. This truck turned out really nice. I would be proud, having built something like that.

Here is a link to the cab and hood in this build. Both are for sale. The older small cab is no longer for sale.

Awesome - for a reason I am not sure of yet - I like this one best of all your Mack's so far. Really nice.

Fantastic job, that is amazing! Love the retro paint! Some colour coded Daytons would set it off perfectly

All 3 of his cabs had swirl marks. Im no body man but was able to use high build primer to get rid of the rough printed lines. When I say bigger I'm referring to the scale length of the cab. 1966-1972 R model Mack's had a steel dash and flat rear wall "short cab" . In 1973- to end of production the cab was +3" longer. Noticed by looking behind the doors. The later cabs were a little deeper and had long grab handles. My 6 wheel dump is a small cab, my RS700 and this r600 are of the larger +3 cabs.

Thank you. I like it too. It looks like a standard R model but with a little bling.

Thank you I'm waiting for the guy that makes these cabs to do some rear wheels. I have front spokes that he and I designed but I really think this truck would look great with aluminum fronts and spoke rears. A true east coast classic R Model.

Old school never dies no matter how much you look at then, are you going to put spider hubs / wheels front and rear or keep the current rims ?

Cheers Tracy

I love it, especially with the dirty tires and exposed front wheel nut and black rear hubs!
