Default Suggestions for adding traction

Anyone have any suggestions on how to add cleats on the tracks to my Bruder D10?

The dozer has more enough power but the tracks just pack with dirt and become slick. I cut some 3 inch pieces of semi axles and added weight that way but it still spun the tracks. Oztruck, would this type of plastic work and what did you use to glue them in?

Ya, I called around here and no one carries it but I did find a company that sells it online. Do you think this will be enough?
