Default Battery

A simple question ,on a nicad battery I have no idea what level the battery is at can I just go ahead and fill it so to speak ? Thanks Mike

It's been 10yrs since I use NiCad last, but this is what I remember... NiCad tends to have a memory, so it's best to fully deplete, then recharge to full capacity.

If you don't fully deplete each time of use, then memory will lessen capacity, shortening run time.

If your charger doesn't have a deplete mode, then to fully deplete, solder up some wires to a 12v car bulb for a taillight & the connector for your battery. Plug the battery in till the light goes out.
