well I just go the gun yesterday so this is my 1st time heating it to bend it. all I have to say is don't over heat and DO NOT apply to much pressure because you will warp and thin the styrene out. like I show in the pics I used a pipe and I heated it slowly and let gravity do most of the work but still had to hold it to help hold the correct shape. just take your time...

Hi...

First of all many thanx for the pic with the distance of the axles. It will help a lot. I'll also show your truck and trailer to my son, so it's easier to decide for him. It will be a flatbed for his Knight Hauler Longline.

Your truck is an absolute excellent work and I can't await to see it finished. Your idea regarding the backlights is really cool.

Vety cool work, hope to see more...

Your more then welcome gismow and thank for the compliments!!! Im just glad I could help ya being so new to this rc semi building myself.

heres some "HINTS" that might help ya...
1. if you want to put wheel fenders on you truck or trailer... USE PVC PIPE!!
Ive seen ppl making them with that it much easier and it seems stronger.

2. do a google search for rc truck, trailer builds and switch to image view... that's how I find trucks and ideas much faster.

Wow she looks great, what trailer kit did you start out with or is it completely custom? I posted some of your build pics on the instagram page I run to promote this hobby and this forum and believe me when I say your truck was very well received, people keep asking if it's done yet, they wanna see a finished product. The istagram page is @scale_truck_n_construction

Many thanks bricknick!... im so siked to hear my 1st custom build is that popular!

NOPE.. the trailer is not a kit what-so-ever...it is 100% my custom design from BUILD FROM SCRATCH looking at many pics and reading many posts.

To answer your question when will it be done.... lol... im working on it 6 to 8 hrs a day but im still far away from completion this monster!!

h*ll ive been looking at blue pearl paint for this thing and that color alone is gonna cost me $104 for one pint!! ugh.... im gonna have to sell this build so I can afford to build another one!! lol

Your flame rig graphics look really sic. They would really pop on a dark color base. I'm looking forward to seeing your redone trailer. I am sure it will look awesome!

Cool you got another rig. Can't wait to see what you do with that one!!

thx wurst... I like the flames but it needs work... my worst fear on this build and possibly f'n it up is painting it!!

The grand hauler kit build will be in its box for awhile... im sry to say!! lol. I got way to much learning and way to much work left on this build to even think of that one.
