Talking STX conversion

had built this a while back - have since traded it off to a new owner...... but thought I would post the pics of its build. Along the way you will notice i tried several different methods but then found a good solution

still milling parts yet and need some different size screws . (no bolt place open on Christmas ) I tried to take a pic of the pivot parts being milled , not to good so I got 1 of the screen .













I'm using pretty much what Chris did , just going a little bit further with the track frame pivot point . I'm doing away with the single point pivot to the inside of the track frame which would wear over time causing the track frame to come out of alignment thus , alowing the track to come off . the 1's I'm building is similar to the real 1's not as detailed but will function the same .

Steve - your doin g whagt I couldn't - remaking hte track frames for better alignment..... great upgrade!

The transmission was from RC4WD - its has metal gears and a machined aluminum case - twin 55 turn motors.....

the differentials came from a Duratrax Nitro Quake - see last pic.....

some more pics of the original build up.....

They are the cell pack from a dewalt 12v drill unit - They didn't work out so well though..... probably half shot to begin with (garage sale drill)

Steve - what packs od you run now??

M12 milwaulkee 12v same I use in my trucks . I just dove into rc batts I got a 4000mah lipo for the mack m75sx I may start using them in my trucks to . altho , the trucks where designed for the M12's . They fit in some tiny places
