Steve here are some pic's of my toy Internationals when I was into customizing diecast. I also have three 1:1 tractors an H, Super M, and 706 wide front with a cab and kinda odd with a wide front and cab it is also a gas burner.

The tractor on the trailer was a rare tractor and I did not know that at the time and made it look like a hot farm pulling tractor but what made it rare was the fact that it had cream colored wheeles on the front instead of red it was a mistake at Eartl that they cought quikly so there wernt many of the tractors out there. I guess that is what you get when you are young and don't know any better.

Travis , thats we may have to start a binder thread sometime . I've been collecting a bunch over the past but the mini trucking kinda took over . I've been trying to get as much 1:20 1:25 die cast construction toys as I can . right now I got 3 on my want list but keep pushing them off . 1st gear 175C loader and of course a ps433 + a 1:16 ertl stx500 rubber track tractor sice I saw izzy's and been seeing them more around here w/pull scrapers . I'll get a thread going soon I just got to take some pics ( a bunch ) can't get them all in a group pic

Very cool, Travis. I'm also a huge International tractor fan too. I used to collect a lot of the Case IH / IH / Caterpillar Ertl replicas when I was young and growing up, but I sort of lost interest in them after I realized it was more fun to have models that moved on their own, rather by me pushing them around. That and a guy starts to run out of room after a while. I still have all my Ertls, and I've recently started collecting some of my favorite IH Ertl Precision tractors. The 5488 is one of my all time favorites, so your build is really cool. I'm curious how you worked the FWA axle gearing out with the smaller tires. Also, where did you find the tires?

Espeefan the trans has an open dif so one output can spin faster than the other. The tires and rims came from a toy show we used to have at Lafayette IN now it is in Indy but still called the Lafayette farm toy show but almost all of the toy tractor parts venders have them.

Cool, Travis. I suspected a differential in the transmission. That's about the only way a guy could pull off an AWD tractor like this. Unless he truly did have a way to disengage the front axle, with a shiftable transfer case. I've seen aftermarket front wheel assit units spin the front tires faster then the rears, when the front axle is engaged, but these days it seems most factory FWA spin the same speed.
